Dafna Lucero

I am from Lima, Peru. I have been in America for 5 years and in Spokane for 3 and a half. I am a Level 6 ESL student. I have two children – Sebastian (3) and Matthew (2). So, I am a busy mother. I like to meet other people at school and help them. I would like to go to the Community College in the future, and I’m interested in Pediatrics.

I am from Chelyabinsk, Russia. I have been in America for 2 years. I am a Level 6 student. I enjoy going to school very much. It is a special and interesting time for me. I feel happy when I’m at school. After my English has improved, I would like to be a music teacher. I taught voice in Russia. I would also like to help other ESL students learn English – perhaps children.

I am from Shenzhen, China. I came to America 5 months ago. I like school very much. I am a Level 4 ESL student. I enjoy learning English grammar. I like talking to all the different students and teachers. I am happy to be here. I want to learn more English and perhaps have my own import-export business. I owned a financial planning company in China.

I am from Yang Zhon, China. I was editor for the Ministry of Economics in Beijing, China before I came to America. I was also a professional singer of classical Chinese music. I have one son, Zhushi who lives in Nan Chang. He is an artist. I have been in America for 2 years. I am a Level 4 ESL student. I am enjoying my English study– especially American culture. I want to teach Chinese to American people. In fact, I am currently teaching at the Spokane Chinese School housed at Gonzaga University. I have 17 students that range in age from 8 to 14.
