NATIONIONAL SUSTAINABLE BUILDING ADVISOR PROGRAM 114-hours

This a nine-month, specialized training program enables graduates to advise employers or clients on strategies and tools for implementing sustainable building. Participants generally meet all-day Friday (8:30 am - 4:30 pm) and Saturday (8:30 am - 1:30 pm) one weekend per month; starting October 27th and generally meeting the third or fourth weekend for the following eight months.

By the end of this training program, participants should be able to: Identify and discuss the key practices of sustainable building, establish competencies in applying LEED™, Built Green™ and other relevant criteria or established guidelines, analyze the costs and benefits of incorporating sustainable building measures, take advantage of financial incentives and technical assistance offered by government, utilities and non-profit organizations, work with architects, designers, builders, building operators, and utilities to improve a building's performance, establish a sustainable design goal for project development, and assist in the education and training of staff in sustainable building.

REAL ESTATE FUNDAMENTALS – ONLINE 60-hours

Prepare online for the state license exam. Class must be completed within six months. Corresponding textbook, Washington Real Estate Fundamentals, is available at the SFCC bookstore for $46. You must have Windows 98 or higher to access this program.
